Project Architect
Williams Architects, a leading architectural firm in New Orleans, is currently seeking to hire a full-time licensed architect. Williams Architects has over 35 years expertise in new construction, preservation, renovation, and planning, and is looking to add a member to our team who is committed to creating spaces for moments and providing every client exceptional service.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage relationships with clients to bring their projects to life
- Ability to initiate, develop, and manage Construction Documents
- Coordinate with consultants and Construction Administration
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of building codes, standards, material specifications and assemblies
- Assist Project Manager in maintaining design schedules and budgets
The ideal candidate will possess minimum 6+ years of proven experience in all aspects of the design process, preferably with commercial, institutional, and adaptive reuse projects. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills, hold a passion for nurturing client relationships and new business opportunities, and produce clear, concise work. Strong teamwork and organizational skills are required. This position will potentially have the opportunity to grow and expand into a project manager role.
Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite required. Degree in architecture required. Registered architectural license preferred, otherwise demonstrate pursuit of licensure. LEED AP preferred.
Architectural Designer
Williams Architects, a leading architectural firm in New Orleans, is currently seeking to hire an entry level architectural designer. Williams Architects has over 35 years expertise in new construction, preservation, adaptive re-use, and planning, and is looking to add a member to our team who is committed to creating spaces for moments and providing every client exceptional service.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing development and construction documents in Revit from concept drawings
- Developing or assisting in conceptual and schematic design
- Effectively coordinating production work internally and with other project stakeholders
Williams Architects provides the opportunity for career growth and a variety of experiences within an award-winning architectural firm.
The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of experience in the architecture industry and design process, preferably with commercial, institutional, and adaptive reuse projects. Must have an understanding of building materials, technology, and structures; and maintain exceptional communication and client relationships. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Minimum Bachelor of Architecture required. LEED AP preferred.
